Diu Fortress

If there is a fort on the coast of India in all of India, it is the fort of Diu. Akillo is surrounded by water on all sides. The fort was built by the Protagozos in 1535.

The fort was built in 1535 by Nuno-de-Cunha. It was then rebuilt by Sultan Bahadur Shah of Gujarat to escape the Mughal emperor Humayun. There was also a fort in the sea near Diu fort called panikotha. There was also a jail in this Diu fort which had a system to keep the criminals of the state.

The fort also had two entrances. The George turret, also considered to be the oldest part of the fort, was built to protect the entrance as well as the surrounding area. There was also a hat on all sides to protect the fort. Since there was a sea around the fort, taka was arranged in the land for storage of potable water in the fort.
